The draws have now been completed for the Cliff & Mary and Jim & Ivy knockout doubles. Fixtures for the preliminary round of both competitions taking place on the 14th May, are now available. Click on the 2025 Competition Results button and then select the competition you are interested in from the "Select League competition" button. Cliff & Mary for Division 1 and Jim & Ivy for Division 2.

If your team does not have a match, then you have a bye into the Quarter Finals. Please note that all doubles matches start at 1pm. More information and rules for the doubles can be found under the Competitions Info button in the main menu on a PC. If you are using a phone there is an extra step, this button is under the "Other pages" button.

Mon 17th Mar

7:55pm The fixtures were re-run again today because of green clashes that had been identified. Please double check them, at least some will be different from before!

Sat 15th Mar

Fixtures are now LIVE. We have lost Gresford Village from Division 1 so Chester Rd B has been moved up. However Chester Rd B & C teams have still agreed to swap their designations.

If anybody spots any anomalies in the fixtures please contact Christine on the no. above as soon as possible.

There are no league matches on 14th May, 25th June, 13th Aug or 10 September as these dates have been reserved for knock-out doubles for those teams who wish to enter. Chris Nevitt will be contacting all captains shortly to find out.

As per the decision at the AGM, competitions are being moved to Thursdays. That is: Colin Paxton 1 & 2; Ann Guinney and Dick Allen and Finals Day.

Have a good season!

Fri 7th Mar

The updated rules for 2025 are now available from the main menu. Captains and players should familiarise themselves with them.

Thu 6th Mar

Summary of the AGM held on 5th March 2025.

Key Points are:

  1. In 2025 the League will revert to 2 Divisions of 12 teams with each team playing every other team in their Division twice in singles (home and away).

Doubles knock-out matches on neutral greens will be available as in 2023. Participation in the doubles is not mandatory. The doubles knock-out tournaments will be competing for the Cliff and Mary Cup in Division 1 and the Jim and Ivy Trophy in Division 2. Knock-out doubles matches will be played on Wednesdays spread throughout the season on dates to be determined.

The League Competitions, i.e. the 2 Colin Paxton qualifiers, the Ann Guinney Cup and the Dick Allen Cup along with Finals Day, will be moved to Thursdays.

  2. There were 2 important amendments to the Constitution,
      1. More details on clubs wishing to join or withdraw from the League have been added.
      2. A new clause re safeguarding has been added.

  3. Minor but important amendments were made to the Rules,
      1. An amendment about what happens when markers can't agree a score during a game to align with BCGBA rules. Plus a requirement for markers to verify scores at the END of a game, also to align with BCGBA rules.
      2. Clarification of the rule regarding which teams are allowed to play players twice.
      3. Expansion of the rule re promotion and relegation to account for seasons when Divisions may vary in size.

The amended Constitution and Rules will be posted on this website in due course.

The season will start on Wednesday 2nd April 2025.
