THERE WILL BE NO LEAGUE FIXTURES THIS COMING SATURDAY 16th MAY DUE TO THE WELSH MERIT QUALIFIERS BEING HELD AT THE BELOW WREXHAM GREENS SPECTATORS WILL BE WELCOME AT BOTH VENUES.
WCGBA Merit Entries
- The qualifying round will be played on Saturday 16 May. 12:45 scratch, when the draw will be made. 1pm start.
- 32 qualifiers will play the final on Sunday 28 June in the Flintshire area.
- The Welsh Champion and others will go forward to represent Wales at the BCGBA final on Saturday 25 July, at Northern Club, Merseyside.

There were 38 entries from players in Wrexham. The qualifiers will take place at Garden Village, LL11 2SU (20 players to 5 qualifiers) and Ponciau Bank Park, LL14 1RS (20 players to 5 qualifiers)

From the AGM Meeting for the 2026 season
The outcome of matches and league positions will now be decided by total points scored meaning every point scored by each player will count, the new system will be based for example on the Malpas League system and several others throughout the country.
This proposition was passed by a big majority of votes cast by clubs at the 2025 AGM meeting

Burton Cup
The Burton cup was the second most prestigious cup in Wales after the Welsh Senior Merit and has been played for since 1930 all be it there are some gaps in the records, it is not known whether it was played for in those years or the cup just wasn't engraved, if anyone has any knowledge of those years please let us know, the new tab for the winners is on the left hand side at the bottom.
