RUNCORN/FRODSHAM FEDERATION TEAM
Any player in the Runcorn league who would like to be considered for selection to play for the federation team in 2024 season please contact the league secretary on the email or number above or any of the selection committee, Neal Ocego, Alan Briscoe, Mark Furber, Gary Spencer or Nigel Parker.
The games are played each year on the 2nd Sunday of the month starting in April until August 2024. More details can be found on the 'Federation Team News and Results' page.

Abel Handicap Cup quarterfinal draw took place tonight at the 3rd division merit Qualifer at subscription bowling club. The draw is now available in the '2024 Competition Results' link. The finals night will be at Owley Wood on 23rd May 2024 start time will be 18:45, scratch time 18:55. Can players please try and be at the venue for 18:30 to ensure we ger a prompt start.
Mon 6th MayThe venues for the 3rd Division Merit Qualifiers are now available in the "2024 Competition Results" link on the left hand side of the home page. The list of players at each venue can be seen on there. Start time will be 19:00 and to ensure a prompt start on the night the draw for each venue will take place @ 21:00 hours on Tuesday 7th May @ Halton Legion Club after the league game between Halton B v Subs A. Anyone wishing to be present at the draw can attend. The draw will then appear on this site and also on the Runcorn League Facebook Page. Scratch time @ the venues will be 19:05 on Thursday 16th May. Can all players please try and be at the venues for 18:45.

Fri 22nd Mar2024 Murphy Cup Draw is now live in the competition results link. Team handicaps will be based on individual player handicaps who play in the game. Each player will receive a handicap based on their 2023 league results which are then put into the matrix that Mid Cheshire and Norley leagues have used to generate a players handicap. This is a fairer handicap system which reflects the players who actually play in the fixture and not a set team handicap based on the teams registered players. The team handicap will be all the players handicaps who play in the fixture added together.
Sat 2nd MarThere is now a Facebook group for the Runcorn and District Bowling Association. The group name is "Runcorn and District Bowling Forum 2024". There will be league and cup updates and general bowls news on it.
