Bereavement Notice
It's with great sadness that we have to report the sad passing of Alan Watts. Alan has played and supported the Runcorn Bowls league over many years most recently as the captain of Rock Park Willow. Alan will be sadly missed. Details of Alan's funeral arrangements will be posted as and when known.
IMPORTANT REMINDER THAT ALL GAMES AT ROCK PARK AND PAVILIONS WILL START AT 18.30 FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL AS THE VENUES HAVE NO FLOODLIGHTS. THIS INCLUDES GAMES FOR ROCK PARK, ROCK PARK WILLOW ,ROCK PARK ABC TAXIS AND BOTH PAVILIONS C & D
I've now listed the 32 entries for this yeasts Champion of Champions. Pot 2 will be held in the morning with Pot 1 to follow in the afternoon. Entries can be found by clicking onto the Competition results tag, then select Individual Competitions and finally click on the Champion of Champion. All entrants are reminded that green fees are payable to the host club for the qualifiers. The cup draw will be made on the day.
This year's Competition will be held at Owley Wood.
ABEL CUP 2026
Entry forms have now been sent out to all of the club secretaries for this years Abel Cup. The qualifiers will be on Thursday7th May with the final two weeks later on Thursday 21st May. Start time is 19.00hrs for both nights with a scratch time of 18.45.
CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS THURSDAY 30th APRIL.
Entry fee for the competition is £2.50 which should be paid to your club secretary. A green fee of £2.00 is payable on the night to the host club with finals night covered by the league.
The Abel Cup is a handicap competition with players able to use their handicap up to plus 8 so is very open. Last year we had 48 entries with our First Lady winner. Venues will be announced closer to closing date. Hopefully we will have a high amount of entries.

ROCK PARK GRAPES
Unfortunately Rock Park Grapes have had to withdraw from Division 2 of the league for this coming season. The league and the executive committee have agreed to promote Overton who finished 2nd in Division 3 last season to replace them. Overton will now takeover all of the Rock Park Grapes Fixtures. The rest of the fixtures for Division 2 remain unaltered.
In Division 3 the games that would have been against Overton are now bye weeks so please check your fixtures carefully.
All of the Rock Park Grapes players are now free to sign for other teams and have been retained on the register under no club but can now be transferred to a new team.
At the end of the season leagues two and three will be rebalanced. The bottom three teams in Division 2 will be relegated with the top two teams in Division 3 promoted. This is subject to the league remaining at thirty teams.
Sun 15th FebThis years Champion of Champions event will take place at Owley Wood with the qualifiers played on SUNDAY 19th April. Pot 2 for the second and third division qualifiers will take place in the morning with a 10.30 scratch time for a 10.45 start. Pot 1 for the competition winners and first division players will take place in the afternoon with a 13.15 scratch time for a 13.30 start. The final will take place the following SUNDAY 26th April at the same venue with a 13.00hrs start. Invitations will be sent out along with the details to the club secretaries between the last week of February and the 1st week of March.
The dates for this years Abel cup are now available with Qualifying on Thursday 7th May followed by the final on Thursday 21st May. No venues have been selected yet and entries will be open from early April via the club secretaries
