The BCGBA Junior Merit is held each year involving 32 of the top Junior Bowlers in the Country (Males/Females Aged 18 or under with 2 Representatives from 16 different Counties). This year it is the Merseyside Crown Green Bowling Association's turn to host this Event and I am delighted to say that their Chairman (Steve Davies) and Secretary (Pat Crowther) have chosen Heswall RBL Bowling Club (78 Pensby Road, Heswall, CH60 7RF) to be the venue on Merseyside. The Competition will start at 10am on Saturday 16th August and is expected to finish at about 5pm. The Winner will be the Junior Bowler who wins their 5 Games on the day (Last 32, Last 16, Quarter Final, Semi Final and Final). 

 
There will be Refreshments on sale all day and Spectators for this prestigious Competition will be most welcome.   
 
Tue 27th May
Heswall RBL Bowling Club (78 Pensby Road, Heswall, Wirral, CH60 7RF) are hosting a prestigious Pairs Competition on Saturday 7th June.
We have 32 Pairs entered including some of the best Male and Female Bowlers in Merseyside and Wales including a number of former Winners of the Merseyside Merit and Welsh Merit plus the Ladies Champion of Champions for 2024.
Spectators will be very welcome as the Club will be open all day and Hot and Cold Food will be available from the Bowls Clubhouse.
Also any Bowlers wishing to enter can contact me to be included on the Reserve List.

Merseyside 

The mens Merseyside County match with Lancashire will be held on Sunday 4th May at Upton Victory Hall with 2pm start. Please come along and give the Merseyside team your support.

Sad news from Lever Club, Dave Walker has sadly passed away.  Our thoughts are with his Family, Friends and Bowling Colleagues.

Unfortunately Bromborough Pool Bowling Club announce the passing away of Bill Hubbert.

A great character,sportsman,bowler and clubman but most of all a true gentleman. He will be sadly missed by everyone at Bromborough Pool and bowlers on the Wirral.
Bill's funeral will be at Landican on the 19th February at 11:30.

we regret to learn of the passing of Geoff Stamp in December and have been informed that his funeral will be held at Willaston Methodist Church on Friday 3rd January at 10.45am.

Geoff was a great friend and team mate to all at Cammell Laird and was a formidable player right up to the end.

He will be greatly missed.

Our condolences go to Geoff's family and friends at this very sad time.

Sad news received from Arno Tixall.
 
Sad to report that Peter Breen passed away recently. Not had too much information from the family but the funeral is Wednesday 6th December at 3pm at Landican for anybody who wishes to attend.

Sad news received from Oxtopn Conservative Club

Nicky Bolton has sadley passed away and his funeral will take plave on Wednesday 1st December in the South Chapel at Landical at 12.30pm.
