2025 AGM - Proposals for consideration

S/C BOWLS  AGM  2025 PROPOSAL No 1 - Proposed by Mere Brow and Seconded by Ormskirk Coronation Park

That the end of season Singles & Doubles Competitions both play down to the last 4 in the early rounds, therefore playing the Semi's & Finals of both Competitions on the same day.

Reason:- To stop people travelling long distances to play just 1 game, and in some cases not playing at all.

Also, Increase the entrance fee money, therefore being able to pay out more in prize money.

S/C BOWLS  AGM  2025 PROPOSAL No 2 - Proposed by Burscough Legion and Seconded by Hesketh Arms

When a fixture between two teams is cancelled and no rearrangement is made to replay the game within 21 days, then no points should be awarded to either team. If on the rearranged date a team cannot compete with a full complement of players, then the fixture must still go ahead with however many players the teams can supply for the match. If after that time the green is still unplayable, can the game be further postponed with the Committees agreement to a date after the 21 day period.

S/C BOWLS  AGM  2025 PROPOSALS 3, 4, 5 - Proposed by Hesketh Kestrels and Seconded by Freshfield

No. 3 : That the existing 21day rule relating to rearranged matches be retained and strictly enforced.

No. 4 : Failure to comply with the 21day rule shall result in both teams being fined £10 and awarded zero points

No. 5 : The final league tables for the 2024 season be corrected to reflect the deduction of points previously awarded to Aughton Institute A and Ormskirk Academy.
