Sad news received from Arno Tixall.
 
Sad to report that Peter Breen passed away recently. Not had too much information from the family but the funeral is Wednesday 6th December at 3pm at Landican for anybody who wishes to attend.

Sad news from Upton VH
Norman Howells  past away last week and last night Frank Heggarty passed away
Normans funeral is on September 30th 11am at Landican

The Birkenhead League Centenary match was held at Heswall RBL on Friday 1st September.

In front of a good crowd of supporters the game was played in an excellent atmosphere and was won by Gladstone by 17 shots.

The Birkenhead League celebrates its Centenary this year and will be holding a League Champions vs The Rest match on Friday 1st September at Heswall RBL starting at 6.15pm.

Please come along and give this event your support.

 

Tue 8th Aug

The Birkenhead & Wirral League celebrates its Centenary this year and to commemorate this the Management Committee have decided to hold a League Champions vs the Rest match on Friday 1st September with a 6.15pm start at Heswall RBL.

 
The proposed format is:
12 players per side and all games 21up
 
The ‘League Champions' team will comprise a team from the winners of the 1st Division
 
'The Rest' team will comprise of the Average winners from each of the other teams in the 1st Division plus the best average winner in the 2nd and 3rd Divisions plus 1 further player to be decided by the Management Committee
 
Please keep this date free in your diaries and relay the information to your Club members.

Cec Hannay Rose Bowl

The Final of the Cec Hannay Rose Bowl between Manor Road and Heswall RBL will be held on Saturday 22nd July at Tixall Bowling Club with 2pm start.

Please go along and give the players your support.

Joe Woodcock
Wednesday 1st March 1.30pm at Landican South Chapel, and afterwards at the Tixall Club.

More bad news from Tixall - Joe Woodcock died on Wednesday 25th January. He had been ill for sometime and hasn't played for some years but when he did, he was always willing to play for any team if they were short.
RIP Joe.

Some very sad news received from Tixall.

Keith Chistian, who has been a member for many years, passed away last night.

He will be sadly missed by all.

I have no further details at the moment.

Sad news received from Oxtopn Conservative Club

Nicky Bolton has sadley passed away and his funeral will take plave on Wednesday 1st December in the South Chapel at Landical at 12.30pm.
