MINUTES OF THE 2018 AGM OF SOUTHPORT LICENSED VICTUALLERS BOWLING LEAGUE
HELD AT FALKLAND RD 19th NOVEMBER 2018

ROLL CALL All clubs were represented except Tarleton ( apologies) & Mere Brow.

MINUTES OF 2017 AGM To be noted and accepted
SECRETARIES REPORT As we had no secretary there was no report
TREASURERS REPORTThe treasurer handed out the balance sheet for the year ending 31/10/18 He explained that after paying out the prize money of £360 the remaining balance will be £916.65.
Club fees were raised by £1 to round off at £50 per team
It was brought up and discussed that we should not pay insurance as every club must furnish their own insurance and it was therefore unnecessary. It was put o a vote and carried unanimously not to pay it.
APPLICATIONS TO JOIN OR LEAVE THE LEAGUE There were leave the league noapplications to join orleave the league. There was one club considering to put another team in and will inform us at the next delegates meeting.
ISSUE OF REGISTRATION FORMS Registration forms were handed out to be updated with the relevant information and returned at the next delegates meeting on 31st January 2019 @7.30
ELECTION OF OFFICERS The chairman and treasurer offered to stand again and voted for unanimously. It was put to the members that we needed a new secretary. William Roddan offered to take the position. It was put to a vote and passed unanimously.
PROPOSALS RULE CHANGES Rule 5(F) Any club not represented at the AGM to be fined £5 Rule 6(C) Any club not represented at the league meeting combined with the AGM to be fined £5 Both of these rules are to be raised to £10 and to include all delegates meetings Starting January 1st 2019 And league points taken from their position in the league.
RULE 10 At present the rule dictates that the league shall supply to each club a copy of the rules. PROPOSAL The rules are posted onto the official website and are fully accessible to all clubs and members so there is no need to supply them. VOTED AND PASSED.
RULE 24 At present the rule states that to play in any cups the members must have played 3 league games. PROPOSAL To be registered at the beginning of the season to qualify. No later than May 31st VOTED AND PASSED
RULE 29 Secretary, Results secretary and treasurer are entitled to an annual payment. This rule was not amended but the officers offered to carry on without payment.
PRIZE MONEY At present all prize money is handed out with trophies.
PROPOSAL All prize money must be accepted by a club member or individual. If there is no club representative the prize money allocated is not awarded and goes back into the league funds. VOTED AND PASSES (UNANIMOUSLY). This proposal will need a new rule and be added to the existing rules.
WELFARE OFFICER It was brought up that we may need a welfare officer under the new BCGBA rules. It was discussed and voted on that we are not required to appoint a welfare officer.
