TREASURER’S REPORT 2023

Firstly I would like to thank everybody who has contributed in making the 2023 league such a success. I include the Players, Captains and the Committee of the league and long let this continue to the coming seasons.

When we took over as being the new committee for the league in 2022 the league did not have a bank account. Our first priority was to open up an account. After many weeks of meetings and communication with a business manager at Santander we finally opened the account early in 2023. I would like to thank the committee for their assistance and of course the business manager at Santander as he was excellent and very professional.

We were faced with collecting fees from the 2022 season as some clubs had paid by cheque but in 2022 there was no account for the cheques to be paid into. I would like to thank those clubs involved for rewriting cheques or bank transferring the fees to us.

Even though there was a loss for the year of £175.86 I feel the account balance is very healthy as we stand today. We were faced with more expenses to pay in respect of extra engraving to be done and of course the increasing outgoings required to run the league.

I feel we are in a very good position moving forward and we look forward to an even more successful season in 2024.
