A great day today for our North Shropshire Veterans Association with Alan Boulton for the Market Drayton Senior Citizens and Mick Jones for the Barlows League progressing well into the rounds of the Champion of Champions Competition at Edgmond.
Our two entrants went as far as the quarter and semi final stages beating strong contenders until Mick beat Alan in the quarter final and he was beaten in the semi final by the eventual winner Callum Wraight.
Well done to both of them!! They did our Association proud.

Just a reminder to all Captains that results should be put on the system in order of play according to our rule-see rule 3.
Also can captains/clubs make sure they put new players in their club list of players in the league.

At the EGM yesterday (18th March) the method of playing twice if necessary was determined so that up to 2 players could play twice in a match in the bottom division only, being named by the relevant captain before the match commences and those players must play in the first 4. The usual deduction of 5 points will apply and that result will not go towards the players averages.
An addition to the rule was also voted in that those players having to play a player who is playing twice could have a 10 minute "roll up" if they wanted to.
The 2025 fixtures are now "live" . Could all clubs ensure their player lists are updated before the start of matches.

As discussed at the AGM it was strongly suggested that all bowlers should carry a form in their Bowl's Bag in case of an emergency.
There is now a tab which allows printing of a suggested form on the side of this website.
It could save your life!
All Captains please encourage your team members to carry the form in their Bowl's Bag

Fri 21st FebResults of the AGM
Victoria applied to rejoin the League and were voted in. This means currently there are 42 Teamsin 3 divisions of 14 for the coming season
The League in conjunction with the Market Drayton Senior Citizens Bowling League will operate using one Bank Account but still with 2 balance sheets produced
The Application for membership part of the Constitution has been altered to allow New Clubs longer to apply to join the League and Clubs already in the League until March 7th to either apply to enter extra teams or withdraw existing teams
The pre Season Executive Meeting will be on March 18th to distribute Scorecards etc and do the draw for the MDSCBL Doubles . Venue to be advised
There will be a short EGM prior to that to vote on the procedure for players playing twice.
